Sat Nam' ~ Truth Be My Name
The name given to me at birth, and the name I live my truth through is Kelsey Bjur. I am an intuitive healing practitioner, and have been ever since I was a child (although I did not know or remember this until I was in my late 20's). With a background in Rehabilitation and Disability studies, yoga instruction, Quantum Healing and Energy Medicine, Reiki Level 1 Certification (these qualifications being what our system shows on paper what I am qualified to do), these methods are, however, just the 'tip of the iceberg' in what I have researched, studied and continue to practice. It's fun to take a trip down memory lane and to realize that all of the points and milestones in your life have brought you to the this present moment. All of the different jobs Ive had, the studies I've immersed myself in, and the places I have traveled and lived, have all contributed to the path that have led me to live more in the present, in being my authentic self. |
One of my greatest states of joy comes when I see others witnessing and feeling their highest expression of themselves.
And one of my greatest awakenings or lessons continues to be; to come from a place of unconditional love. With this awareness, I appreciate where each individual is along their journey, and how their own experiences are guiding them to evolve and learn. I believe the highest frequency is Love, which is where I choose to operate from.
Throughout my life, I have noticed how I am greatly affected by water (which is of a great benefit to me throughout my healing practice, as we are each made up of mostly water). "Water knows all water," one of my guides often says! The places where I have had my most profound teachings, experiences and practices, have all been in places surrounded by water. As a young girl I was surrounded by lakes, My first healing/yoga training teacher was on the great Island of Hawaii, my second was in Tofino on Vancouver Island, and my third was in Indonesia on the Island of Bali, Currently, living and studying with a drum healer on the gulf Island of Gabriola, and most recently receiving my level 1 Reiki certificate in Courtenay on Vancouver Island, where I know live. Water can be structured (see Dr.Emoto), and has an incredible easeful reaction on the body and mind, allowing us to be more fluid, present, mindful and go with the flow (read http://www.lifehack.org/424336/science-explains-how-staying-near-water-can-change-our-brains).
The path to living your authentic self in each moment is challenging. I had no idea that I wasn't aligning with this principle until I was diagnosed with depression at the age of 2o, when my body, mind and spirit could no longer store any more of the trapped negative emotions that were manifesting as an illness. So how did I overcome depression? Well, my first step back to self awareness, in awakening to my own truth, surfaced when my therapist asked me two simple questions that changed my life (and reminded me to look within rather than outside of myself for the rest of life):
"Did you know that everything you have said (for the last 2 days) has been in the negative?" "So, why don't you change it to the positive."
WOW...right?! Not simple after spending a good portion of my life coming from a perspective that was outside of myself. But from that day forward, through maintaining a strong practice and self awareness, I have been learning to change the negative into a positive, to where now, most of my thoughts, actions, and emotions are transformational.
This was and is a gift that I support others to see in themselves - that we each have the ability to shift our mindsets and create new neural pathways, which directly affects our body/mind/spirit. This means that we are the ultimate creators of our own realities. We have the ability to rid ourselves of trapped negative emotions on an atomic level, so that we may no longer continue to suffer the same old patterns, which, in turn, creates the space within ourselves to live from a place of positive emotion and joy!
The light in me honours the light in you!
Thank you for your Life Force!
